The Sign of the Fish

Because in many quarters Jesus is regarded as the Avatar of the Age of Pisces, it has been widely assumed that he would incarnate with a Pisces Sun - in fact Donald Jacobs ("Moby Dick") produced a speculative Nativity which at first sight looks very promising. But it falls at every hurdle as soon as it is subjected to the kind of testing we have given this Nativity of 7th May 5BC.

Where, then, is the Fish? Let us go right back to the beginning. One chart which is held to be most important for the understanding of a life's deep meaning and purpose is that of the pre-natal Solar eclipse (BC004). For at Bethlehem this eclipse was in Pisces as part of a 12th-house stellium configuring the outer planets, with the Nodes themselves conjunct the Pisces horizon. An 8th-house Mars/Neptune echoes the conjunction in the helio Nativity; Venus conjoins Jupiter in the 1st house, Saturn is with the N. Node. This pattern heralds the incarnation of a great spiritual being who will lead a predestined and sacrificial life, an avatar of the Mysteries, of unconditional love, God's Word, and divine power. His path will be lonely, his suffering great. He is born into the carpenter's family as, at the perfection of the Node-Equinox conjunction, the setting Sun with its royal Star reconnects with the outer planets in the mystic rectangle, and Mars aligns with eclipse Venus.

In His Image

With the discovery of the Outer Planets, we men and women have taken a lot of spiritual power for ourselves. Nowadays it is unfashionable - even in some quarters unacceptable - to conceive of ourselves as truly children of an almighty being we call God, that this being is a person, and that He sent his Son into incarnation to teach us how to live, and to die at our hands for love of us. At this time in our history when hubris has rendered us desperately vulnerable to self-created disaster, is it not time we reconsidered? Look at all I have shown you here. Is not Christ coming  to us over and over again, in every conceivable way, as he always promised?
